Branden Proulx has worked in the tile industry for more than 25 years. He began his career in Arizona before eventually making his way to Wisconsin, gaining experience and refining his craft. In 2015, Branden took a leap of faith and founded Proulx Custom Tile LLC. What began as a one-man operation grew through hard work, quality craftsmanship, and strong relationships with local flooring stores and builders. Branden earned a reputation for being dependable, easy to work with, and capable of delivering exceptional results without needing to be micromanaged.
Amanda also began her career in construction, spending eight years estimating and managing custom residential home projects. That experience gave her a strong understanding of the construction process—from interpreting plans and preparing estimates to coordinating schedules, trades, and the many details required to move a project forward. It also gave Amanda and Branden their first opportunity to work together professionally. Branden became a tile subcontractor for the builders Amanda worked with, while Amanda’s estimating and project-management experience helped support Proulx Custom Tile behind the scenes. Long before Cornerstone, they were already learning how well their individual strengths complemented one another.
Today, Proulx Custom Tile has a small but dedicated team and works with some of the leading builders and flooring stores throughout Walworth County, while continuing to serve homeowners directly. We are proud to have long-standing relationships with repeat builder clients, and much of our new business continues to come from customer referrals. To us, that is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.
Amanda’s experience later expanded into flooring retail, where she gained a deeper understanding of the material side of the industry and the customer selection process. Together, Amanda & Branden realized how important it was for customers to have one cohesive team responsible for both materials and installation. That realization became the foundation for Cornerstone Floor & Tile. At Cornerstone, Amanda guides customers through product selection, coordinates materials, and manages the details that keep each project moving forward. Branden spearheads installation, bringing decades of hands-on knowledge and craftsmanship to the jobsite. Customers responded to the combination: one trusted team working together from the first selection through the final installation.
Cornerstone is the next chapter of the business we have spent years building together.
